Hosted by the Hong Kong Asthma Society (HKAS), PRAISE-HK joined the 2017 World Asthma Day on the 30 April 2017 with the theme of “Better Air, Better Breathing”. Variety shows and game booths were jointly prepared by different supporting organizations to raise public awareness towards Asthma, air pollution, and health.
PRAISE-HK created a game booth entitled “Air Pollution Exposure Circuit”, aiming to introduce what are the major sources of air pollution and how would our health be affected from exposing to those pollutants. With the overwhelming response from the public, our game booth has finally attracted more than 150 people (mostly families, kids and parents). Visitors are all given a memo pad (in a mobile phone shape) with a QR code to the PRAISE-HK website as a souvenir for longer term connection. In the same event, PRAISE-HK has also established new network with many medical professionals for future collaborations.
