PRAISE-HK has been emphasising public health risks on air pollution, in which many would realised the importance of improving community preparedness and resilience. On 28 October 2020, PRAISE-HK team is glad to be invited by Red Cross (Health & Care Service Department) to host a community resilience public talk.
Regardless of the talk was conducted at night time via online, we were overwhelmed by the positive feedback from nearly 60 participants! In their feedback survey, they learned about major air pollution sources (95%); personal health impacts due to air pollution (90%); and air pollution mitigation on personal level (85%).
In learning mitigation measures on personal exposure to air pollution, many participants also agreed to have gained the confidence to deal with air pollution in the future. And to more about PRAISE-HK App, they found it more accessible to understand air condition around their surroundings.

Moreover, PRAISE-HK is now on Red Cross Disaster Preparedness (RCDP) mobile application which provides users with updated information of emergency to strengthen resilience towards various risks in the city. Users now can tap the “Useful Links” button and access PRAISE-HK data for real-time air quality information (and forecasts) down to street levels.
