School Engagement
Air pollution is a complex and multifaceted issue that spans across various disciplines, including science, technology, engineering, and more. Addressing the societal and economic challenges posed by air pollution requires a multidisciplinary approach that leverages the expertise and knowledge of various fields.
Since 2017, the PRAISE-HK team has been actively promoting awareness of air quality issues among students, through a series of school talks, workshops, and lab visits. The team has successfully delivered more than 50 such sessions, inspiring and educating young minds on the importance of clean air and its impact on our health.
The PRAISE-HK school campaign is designed to enhance students' understanding of air quality issues through a range of school activities that are developed within the framework of STEM education, as suggested by the Education Bureau. By integrating science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in the curriculum, the campaign aims to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to tackle real-world problems related to air pollution. Through this approach, students can develop a deeper appreciation for the importance of clean air in maintaining a healthy and sustainable environment.

A quick words of thanks from me and my students. The debating students, in particular, said they gained valuable information. But what really stood out was how many of the other students who had only done some cursory thinking about the container port spoke to me about how they had appreciated seeing the port and speaking to you. So thank you once again for taking the time for us.
