SCMP: Local smog needs local solutions

Numerous media reports over the past few weeks have raised questions as to whether PM2.5 could drift to Hong Kong from the northeast China. Prof. Jimmy Fung (Head of Division of Environment, HKUST), however, provided evidence and pointed out that, for the recent smog issues in particular, "there is no sign of connection between the very high PM2.5 concentration in northern China and that in Hong Kong". -- Hong Kong thus needs continuous efforts and new measures to cope with local problems hence to protect our health.
