On 29 February 2019, Mr. Wong Kam-sing, GBS, JP, Secretary for the Environment came and visited us to understand how our sensor applications are helping the community and the Government on monitoring air quality as well as corresponding policy implementations.

Mr. K.S. Wong had an in-depth discussion with Prof. Zhi Ning on his various sensing technologies development, including a former model to monitor air qualities along the marathon racing track. Prof. Ning also showcased his latest cutting-edge innovation - a world leading air sensing technology with Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) for high Sulphur fuel screening and ship emission measurement.
Mr. K.S. Wong is also keen to know how air quality data could enhance smart city development. Prof. Alexis Lau introduced the making of PRAISE-HK, and explained how PRAISE-HK provides street-level information for the public to make informed health decisions.
